Ian Welfley is an award-winning filmmaker residing in Los Angeles, California. He graduated Cum Laude from James Madison University with degrees in Media Arts & Design and Creative Writing.

His debut film, “Home of the Brave”, won several awards, including Best Narrative Short at the 2022 Virginia Film Festival, the first JMU film to ever do so. His second film, “Curtain Call”, was runner-up for Best Indie Short at the Los Angeles Film Awards.

His most recent project, “Some Enchanted Evening”, is a proof-of-concept short horror film that was picked up for distribution by VYRE Network and is being developed as a feature.

Ian moved to L.A. in 2023 and has since gained hundreds of hours of on-set experience through his AD/PA work for film, television, commercials and music videos.

As the founder of Moon’s Eye Productions, Ian hopes to bring back script centric films that prioritize story over all else.
